Tetsujin-28 promote "DoCcoMo for PC"

I took these photos on a concourse of Akihabara train station around two weeks ago.
You might know that robot as "Gigantor".
"Tetsujin-28" is a manga by Mitsuteru Yokoyama released in 1956.
I remember I watched it as TV anime when I was a boy.
By the way, "Docomo" is the leading carrier of mobile phone services in Japan.
"DoCoMo for PC" is a PC data communication service by Docomo.

Steam punk version of Gigantor - love him! I used to watch the cartoon as a child as well (1960's). Can even sing the theme song (but you really don't want me to ;-)

Very interesting post. The robot reminds me of the italian movie "Io e Caterina" with Alberto Sordi: his house maid is Caterina, a disobedient robot! :-)
