Samurai Head Piece in Hyakuen Shop

Those lovely samurai head pieces are for boy's day.
May 5 is a national holiday as "children's day" in Japan.
but originally that day is boy's day called "tango no sekku".

Chindon-ya

chindon-yaI took this photo on a main street of my city.
Chindon-ya means traditional street performers (marching band) who advertise for local business.
When I was a little boy, I used to see chindon-ya.
But in these days, I rare see them.
And I think that the style of chindon-ya(in this photo) is a little different from chindon-ya in old days.

Hanami

hanami in the park Hanami (花見) means cherry blossom viewing in English.
It is a Japanese traditional custom which celebrate spring.
Japanese really love cherry blossom.

I took the photo above in ueno park that is a popular hanami point in Tokyo.
